Freaky Friday

We have a small installation of rabbits. Chris really likes them—it’s his collection. One day we will build a house with a dedicated room for the rabbits.

Today’s daily prompt is: If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

If I could, I would be one of our rabbits. Occasionally, one rogue rabbit will have wanderlust and leave the pack. I come downstairs and notice one is missing. It takes a while to find him as he is always semi-hidden; on top of cupboards, behind objets, under a chair leg. But he gets into places I can’t go and the world from his view must be very interesting.

I’d like to be someone else for a day but I don’t want a human’s eyes and brain and the baggage that goes with that. I’d like porcelain eyes and grey space for a brain.

Weekly photo challenge: ‘Beyond’

The current WordPress weekly photo challenge asks bloggers to share a photo that invites viewers to look ‘beyond’.

The photo below is one I took of a dusty floor. In it you can see footprints, drag marks and water spatter. But I could also see a landscape image in the dust in the floor, and that’s why I took it. I thought that it would be an interesting digital project to enhance the landscape image I could see. So here is the beginning of that project …

Using Flickr Creative Commons images and Photoshop, I have begun to build in the background. The images I have used are here as thumbnails:
